My Nametags ~ Review

My Nametags

Back in September Mia started pre-school and so came the chore of naming every damn thing! Now I love organising everything and to begin with I was really excited for her getting all the uniform, bag and books but the whole naming process quickly became an irritant. First off finding a pen that won't instantly come off in the wash...and then finding a label which is big enough to fit a long surname like ours on. This proved difficult and barely legible but sufficed for a few weeks until I came across My NameTags

My Nametags sell both name stickers and iron on name tags in some very funky designs. I chose the stickers (purely because I liked how easy they sounded) plus I was intrigued to find out if they were as hard wearing as the website made out.

I can confirm they really are! Now they are apparently washing machine safe up to 60° which is pretty impressive. I haven't washed them at 60°, because I don't feel the need to on kiddies clothing, however they have been washed several times at 30°, 40° and once accidentally at 50° and they still look as good as new!

The main selling point for me was the ease of them. It took me less than 5 minutes to label all her school uniform, shoes and bag and with this only now being pre school I can see it's going to be a never ending job from now so these are going to make one job so less time consuming. With the amount you receive these will keep us going for a long while.

Mia was highly impressed with the choice in designs. She chose which one she liked the best and even helped stick them on. Mia loved the Hello Kitty designs she chose, but there are so many options to completely design your own on the website.

We were kindly gifted a set on nametags to be able to review, all words and opinions are my own.

Creme Egg Caramel Shortbread

So i've been scouring Pinterest and finding some exciting bakes ready for Easter. Last year I discovered Creme Egg cheesecake (My post about it here) , it was amazing and had so many comments from people so I'm on the hunt for this years baking masterpiece! Last weekend I made Creme Egg fudge, whilst it tasted incredible I wasn't entirely happy with it and will take a few more practices before it's perfected.

Then I came across this shortbread recipe which looked super yummy and super simple to make, and it was! So thought I would share with you the recipe and my results.
The only part I found difficult was making the caramel, having never made it before but like the recipe says read how to make the caramel in depth before you start.

HD BROWS

What are HD Brows?? Quick intro before I got in to my story and experiance. HD Brows is a seven-step eyebrow shaping treatment that focuses on design. It involves a combination of techniques, including tinting, waxing and threading, using specialist HD Brows products.

I've never had great brows, mainly starting from over plucking as a teenager. When I was pregnant and directly after I had my daughter they seemed worse than ever, falling out and when they did grow back they were really fine and blonde. About a year or so after having my daughter I discovered the most amazing HD stylist. I'd followed her on social network for a few months before taking the plunge and asking for her help! She was absolutely lovely, from the first appointment in which not much could be done by way of styling but she tinted the little I did have and used make up to show how my brows should and could look. This gave me the confidence to leave them well alone for the following 5/6 weeks and also discovered a product called Lashtonic which is a growth serum.

My first appointment was in the July 2014, and by that Christmas the improvement was amazing and since then they've only got thicker and fuller. I do still have one area which remains thinner, which who knows, may never return but with regular appointments and tints I don't have to do much filling in at all.

Here are my before and after photos :)
